Some Normal Guys: PODCAST EPISODE 4

Forgive us for the wait on the podcast and delays between posts these past few days. A lot has been going on, its college, busy happens. I can assure you with all I've got that from here on out Some Normal Guys is going to return to the prime form it was in at its inception. Check that, it's going to return to a form you've never seen, better than ever. So I give you last week's show, without further ado. My producer and confidant Kevin Kearney couldn't edit it until Thursday night because he had run down to Philly to go home and see the Phils first playoff game. Not mad at that, and Stephen Rice wouldn't be either. I've only been to one playoff game, the Sabres beating the Caps the year the Caps went to the Cup finals, and the atmosphere is a amazing. Kevin got lucky on that one.

Anyway, if SNG podcasts were compared to Jay-Z, then this week's show is like half Blueprint, half Kingdom Come. First hour is the Blueprint, complete with Song Cry, Heart of the City, and Girls,Girls,Girls. Most notably, wee got an awesome interview with Christian Lander of Stuff White People Like.Org and author of the Stuff White People Like Book. He was a hilarious interview and he could not have been more cordial and appreciative.

Second hour tho:

hey, maybe I'm just being hard on myself. It isn't that bad probably. But it is long, and it's going to be something people either love or hate. I took a risk and invited two of the Wagner Seahawks Defensive Linemen into the studio. What I was really hoping to do is have them ad-lib during my NFL and college football segments, in hopes that they would deliver some hoodtastic sound bites. What instead occurred was a thirty minute conversation with these guys about their young lives and what it meant for them to make it out and be in college. There's moments in the interview that are cringe-inducing, and there's moments that are as engaging as can be. It really will depend on your cup of tea I suppose. Either way, feedback is always appreciated.

Sadly, there will be no radio show this week, and in turn no podcast. The following Monday, October 16, SNG will return to the WCBG airwaves. In the meantime I want to apologize for this blog sucking lately. I'm going to personally see to it from here on out that I'll at least carry my weight and make this blog worth visiting again. Stay tuned and thanks for sticking around.
