BJ Penn is lookin diesel

there's a ton of guys in MMA who have gone on record as saying that BJ Penn deserves the title of world's best Pound for Pound mixed martial artist. Most notably, former UFC Light Heavyweight champ Quinton Rampage Jackson has been known to sing Penn's praises in any interview in which he is asked who the top guy in on earth is. Scott McDonough and I have both been on board with BJ for a minute, while we've also both agreed that training seems to be something that he's never placed much emphasis on. But if his last bout against Sean Sherk is any indication, Penn's training regimen has upped the ante as of late. With his next fight being at the welterweight weight class against another arguable Pound-4-pounder in George St.Pierre, BJ seems to have started earlier than ever and committed to putting on the weight necessary to compete against "Rush." Sherdog has GSP listed at 169, a single pound under the 170 cap set by the UFC's welterweight divsion, but anyone who has seen his last few fights knows that by fight time he puts on at least another 10-12 pounds for the match itself. BJ has fought up in weightclass before, but in order to get there he seemed to have gone on a cardio-free diet of "beer and chicken wings" (scott). With him actually getting set to add mass the right way, I can't help but be intrigued. There's no telling how dangerous a cut-up 170 pound BJ Penn could be.
